ABOUT US
The Chico Connection, as well as the Durham Connection and The Paradise Connection, came about as a family business venture brainstorm. At the heart of this idea, DeAnna Holman was looking to pursue a career in magazine publishing and web design. As a stay-at-home mom, she wished to work out of her home and provide her with a creative outlet. After brainstorming with family, brainstorming with friends and community polling,
The Chico Connection was born. Soon after, came the Durham and Paradise sites. The mission of each site is to provide a website that offers many links to local businesses and attractions. This way, there is one site to bookmark for all of your local needs!
The idea for Community Seeds eMagazine actuallycame about as the initial idea for DeAnna's business. It seemed as though the area could use a FREE, local magazine that could offer information on a variety of topics and showcase the works, talents, and ideas of community members. As the concept for the magazine grew, the idea of providing an eco friendly, on-line "e-magazine" arose. No need to search around town for the magazine, it will be right at your fingertips whenever you want to read it!
Working on both of these projects will be DeAnna Holman (Owner/Publisher/Editor), Greg Holman (Associate Editor), Amy Behlke (Ad Rep/Paradise Links Coordinator/Writer), Kari Casey (Ad Rep/Chico Links Coordinator) and many, many community members. It will be a fun, evolving, and exciting!
